BREATHWORK
Breathwork is both an evidence-based practice and a deeply transformative journey inward. Through intentional, rhythmic breathing, you can gently quiet the constant chatter of the thinking mind, creating space to connect with deeper wisdom held within your subconscious. Rather than struggling against old stories, limiting beliefs, or patterns that no longer serve you, breathwork invites you to meet them with awareness, compassion, and the opportunity for healing.
As you breathe, your brain naturally shifts into a deeply relaxed, meditative state. During this process, the activity of the prefrontal cortex which is the part of the brain responsible for analytical thinking temporarily slows, allowing you to access deeper layers of your inner world. In this expanded state of awareness, intuition becomes clearer, creativity awakens, and emotional healing can unfold in ways that often feel both profound and deeply personal.
Whether you're just beginning your breathwork journey, feeling called to release what no longer serves you, or yearning to reconnect with your inner wisdom, these private sessions provide a compassionate, heart-centered space where you can be fully supported, exactly where you are. Below are some additional benefits that a client can experience with regular breathwork practices.
Benefits of Breathwork:
• Stress Reduction: Centering your attention on the breath helps quiet the mind and ease tension, fostering a calmer, more peaceful state.
• Greater Mental Focus: Consistent breathwork and meditation sharpen mental clarity, allowing you to remain more attentive and grounded throughout the day.
• Emotional Healing: These practices support healthier emotional regulation, cultivating inner harmony and resilience.
• Improved Physical Health: Breathwork strengthens lung function, supports immune health, and boosts overall energy.
• Better Sleep: Mindfulness and conscious breathing encourage more restful sleep, enhancing overall well-being.
• Spiritual Alignment: Through breathwork, the world’s noise falls away, allowing you to align with your purpose and feel grounded in your spiritual journey.
Is breathwork safe?
Breathwork is generally considered safe for most healthy individuals when practiced under the guidance of a trained facilitator. Some people experience temporary sensations such as tingling in the hands or face, lightheadedness, muscle tension, emotional release, or changes in body temperature. These responses are common and typically subside shortly after the session.
Because certain medical conditions may increase the risks associated with increased breathing, I recommend speaking with your primary care physician before scheduling a session if your are unsure. If needed, modifications can often be made.
Breathwork is not advised for persons with a history of cardiovascular disease, including angina or heart attack, high blood pressure, glaucoma, retinal detachment, osteoporosis, significant recent physical injuries or surgery without first speaking with a medical professional.
Breathwork is not advised for persons with severe mental illness or seizure disorders or for persons using major medications. It is also unsuitable for anyone with a personal or family history of aneurysms. Pregnant women are advised against practicing breathwork without first consulting and getting approval from their primary care physician. Persons with asthma should have their inhaler present at all times and consult with their primary care physician.
Your well-being is my priority, and you'll be supported throughout the entire experience.
